<p class="content_text">14일 대법원 확정 판결로 시장직을 상실한 권선택 대전시장은 “그동안 시정이 잘 되도록 도와 주신 시민들께 감사드리며, 심려를 끼친 점에 대해 송구스럽게 생각한다”고 밝혔다.</p>

<p class="content_text">권 시장은 이날 오전 대법원 선고 이후 대전시청 브리핑룸에서 가진 기자회견에서 “오늘 재판은 최종심이기에 결과에 대승적으로 승복한다”며 이 같이 말했다.<span> </span></p>

<p class="content_text">권 시장은 다만 재판 결과에 대해 아쉬움을 나타냈다.<span> </span><br />

<p class="content_text">그는 “정치인의 일상적 정치활동을 정치자금법이라는 잣대로 일일이 재단하는 것은 우리 정치 발전을 위해 바람직하지 않다”며 “향후 입장과 진로에 대해서는 말씀드릴 기회가 있을 것”이라고 말했다.</p>

<p class="content_text">대법원 3부(주심 김재형 대법관)는 이날 권 시장에 대한 재상고심에서 징역 6월에 집행유예 2년을 선고한 원심 판결을 확정했다.<span> </span></p>
